Public Health Closure Policy

The following policies are in place for registration for the 2021-22 swim season. Our goal is to build in financial protections for everyone involved.

• • There are no refunds on program registration but your spot is transferable to another individual or you can transfer to our programming at Ottawa Online Fitness.

  • If the pools are closed by public health before our launch, you will receive two months membership in our online fitness program ($120 value) in lieu of swimming and in return for your initial payment of $88.14. The initial payment cannot be refunded.

  • If the pools are closed after the start of the season by public health we will pause any remaining payments. There are no refunds for partial months or completed payments.

  • What if public health lowers the number of swimmers we are permitted in the pool mid-season?

    • Priority will be given to those first to register.

    • Those that do not continue to swim will have their payments paused.

    • Lower ratios means a higher cost per swim as we must meet our own costs as an organization.

    • Those that continue to swim will continue the monthly payments until the original $440.70 plan is complete. After that a supplemental payment plan will be initiated to cover the extra cost for the low ratio period which, based on 2020, we expect to be $40 per month.

    • If ratios are lowered before the start of the season, those later registrants who will not be swimming due to ratios will receive two months membership in our online fitness program ($120 value) in lieu of swimming and in return for your initial payment of $88.14. The initial payment cannot be refunded. Their payment plan will be frozen so no other payments are taken.
